HIGHWATER MARK

THE HIGH WATER MARK MONUMENT, located on Hancock Avenue at the Copse of Trees, commemorates the commands that took part in Pickett's Charge. Lee's army lost a third of its remaining men in the fiasco, which ended in hand-to-hand combat.
